The assertion that this therapy is effective has been supported by more than 300 articles.
Effectiveness of Swiss Dolorclast
When it comes to the administration of radial shockwave therapy, the most popular tool that is used is the Swiss Dolorclast family of products. These devices have been a subject of many peer-reviewed literatures to provide evidences that it is indeed highly effective in the treatment of chronic pain.
One of the studies that deal with Swiss Dolorclast as a means of proving the effectiveness of radial shockwave therapy was completed by Ibrahim, Donatelli, Schmitz, Hellman, and Buxbaum in 2010. Published in Foot & Ankle International, the study involved a total of 50 patients, and the conclusion was that the use of the machine was effective in the treatment of chronicplantar fasciitis, specifically after two sessions at 2,000 impulses per treatment.
Zhao and colleagues, in a study published in the Journal of Surgical Research, highlights the effectiveness of using Swiss Dolorclast in knee osteoarthritis. The study involved 70 patients who were given 4,000 pulses of shockwave once a week in a span of four weeks. It resulted to better knee function compared to placebo.
Mehra, Zaman, and Jenkin, on the other hand, studied the effectiveness of Swiss Dolorclast in 24 patients with tennis elbow and 23 with plantar fasciitis. After the research, the conclusion was that 78% of the patients with tennis elbow and 98% of patients with plantar fasciitis noted significant improvements in the treatments that have been given.
From the evidence-based radial shockwave therapies that have been mentioned above, there is no doubt the technology is indeed effective. But it is far most effective when the Swiss Dolorclast is used. The overwhelming amount of literatures available to support such assertion is more than enough to believe that it is indeed a promising technology to those who are suffering from chronic pain.
